The other night I tried a new recipe. It did not go so well. I didn't have enough of the main ingredient (what is potato soup without enough potatoes?). I ran out of some ingredient tried something different. It tasted... a little off. Then I tried spices to cover it. I try not to waste food. I eat things even if they didn't turn out so great. This night... we ate a bowls worth and threw the 'leftovers' out. I shouldn't always experiment.

So the next night I decided to go with my trusty Chicken noodle soup. But of course I have to try something new again. I usually put a can of cream of chicken soup in it, but today I wanted to be adventurous and try to make my 'own' cream of chicken. It took longer than opening up a can and putting in the mysterious glob, but it turned out great!

So my new cream of chicken came from Tammy! Yum!

As usual, everything "extra" in life is pushed aside when I am finishing a stocking before Christmas. My stocking is finished and actually hung up over the fireplace this year!

Touch Screen Computer

Aaron started to reformat our laptop computer this last weekend. It is up and running, but still needs some work. I realized that my computer (the one that hasn't been touched in over a year) is more than 7 years old and.. well just dead. Pointless. It is just sitting on a desk in our den- purely for looks now. Caroline goes in there and pretends that she has to type some stuff up before she can do anything else. SO I guess it has turned into a toy.

I have been stalking this sweet girl's sewing blog for a while now- well I guess I follow it so I might be considered a virtual friend. I have made some pretty cool stuff because of her. Katy at nobigdill has blogged about an awesome giveaway for an HP touch screen computer. Wouldn't it be cool if Caroline and Henry had a computer of thier own to play with? I am blogging about it to get a double chance at the lottery for winning this cool invention. Wish me luck!

She is definitely a leader. Being so little with the graces not quite there, it can be percieved as bossy. She is a good big sister to Henry. Loves her phone. Wants pasta, spagehetti or mac and cheese for dinner. Loves to go play at Aunt Sarah's. Wants to wear skirts all of the time. Writes her name really well. And wants her hair crimpy almost everyday.

Hot, sizziling, burning, on fire

That is exactly how my hands felt for 3 hours.

Last week, we made a trip to Miller Farms. We always have an awesome time, no matter the weather conditions! I brought home bags of sweet corn on the cob, popcorn, peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, green beans, a few beets, onions and potatoes- all for 12 dollars! I spent 4 days cleaning, peeling, chucking, chopping and blanching to put them in the freezer. We had corn on the cob days in a row, carrot cake and just yummy fresh meals.

On Saturday night, I decided to pick one of each color of peppers to mix with some onions. I honestly don't know the differences between any of the peppers I got. I just chopped, seeded and cooked. With in just a few minutes is when I started to feel the burn. Half of my right hand and a few fingertips on the left hand were red, puffy and burning.

We looked on the Internet for different remedies; I washed my hands, put them in baking soda, flour, under cold water, I held frozen vegetables, put my hands in Clorox, rubbing alcohol, covered them with Vaseline and took Advil. Nothing helped the burning sensation disappear. The only thing that helped was cold running water. Two hours later I called my Mom in tears and asked what to do. I took more pain medicine and called poison control. Poison Control lady, Tiffany, said to wash them with soapy water (ya, did that) and then explained to me that the oils from the peppers were in my skin and I needed to extract that oil with a different oil. She suggested vegetable oil or olive oil. And if that didn't work, to buy liquid Maalox. Since I had vegetable oil in my pantry- I decided to 'wash' my hands in it several times. The pain subsided. About 20 minutes later I fell asleep- I'm sure due to exhaustion. Half an hour later I woke up with absolutely no sign that the last 3 hours existed.

Yeah, I know I have heard and read to never cut hot peppers without gloves, but it never bothered me before. I still have the peppers on my kitchen counter- waiting for me to buy gloves from the store. I plan on making pre-made fajita packs with them and the onions. We'll see. Cutting peppers I think will frighten me forever now.

Why I am a Mormon
Even though I have had a broken family, I have had wonderful additions to my pieced togther family. I love my family so much (immediate and extended) and can't seem to live without them. I am so grateful for the knowledge of eternal families and that my family can be together forever- even after this life.I have felt God's love and his spirit testify to me at different times in my life that He lives. That there is a purpose to this life. That through Him I can experience peace and joy no matter what trial is placed in front of me. Knowing that has encouraged me to keep His commandments and trust in Him. And from keeping His commandments I know that it has made me a happy individual.
How I live my faith
I try to be like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try and teach my children to trust in Him. We say our prayers in my house. We read the scriptures every night. We talk of Christ. We have Faith. We fast regularly. We pay tithes and offerings. We speak kind words. We hug each other. We go to church weekly. My husband and I encourage our children to know scripture stories. We spend at least one evening together a week together talking about spiritual and temporal matters. In my house we try and serve others; members of our own family, church friends and our neighbors. We visit the elderly. We shovel snow off of people's driveways. We bake treats for others. We try to have the light of Christ be shown in our countenances, because we love Him.

Butterfly Pavillion

Grandma Watts took the kids and I to the Butterfly Pavilion! They loved it and their souvenirs!

A wonderful experience to see all of the butterflies! Caroline wore a flower in her hair hoping that a butterfly would land on it. No such luck. She was sad, until one went on her shirt then she was okay after that! And a brave Caroline, letting a tarantula spider walk on her hand!

8 years and 1 day

This last month and a half have been quite eventful for us-as well as members of our extended family. Moments in time like this you can't help but reflect on what life is really about. How precious it can really be. That relationships do matter. Death in the family really does that to you, too.
I don't know why I have had to have tooth number 4 and 5 pulled (besides the 4 wisdom teeth) in the last 10 years, but I guess that is for some reason too.
I am grateful for a husband that LOVES me and his two darling kiddos. I am grateful for his belief in Christ. I am so thankful for the knowledge we both share of Heavenly Father's eternal plan and that right now, we are only taking part of a glimpse of it here on Earth. I am grateful for his support in what I want to do and become. I am grateful for his willingness to provide for our family. I love him for who he was, is and what we can become together through it all, thick and thin.
I love you, Aaron. Happy Anniversary.

Adjusting

Life has taken a new turn in our everyday, usual routine- since we packed up, moved out, moved in and unpacked (mostly). We are excited to be in our new home, new neighborhood, new community, new city, new ward and a new chapter in our life.

Since we took the front off of Henry's crib, naps seem to be the hardest. We took the front of Caroline's even earlier (16 months) and she adjusted well. Henry seems to want to play a lot more. How can I get upset when everytime I see him supposed to be sleeping he has a book in his hand? He found his way to Carolines room today. He seems to love the sticker book. He also loves toothbrushes, phones and stuffed animals.

Yesterday at church, I had to go up with her on the stand and she was attached at the leg like Velcro and then when we got up there- her head was in my lap the entire time! No singing for Dad this year. I was going to sign her up for a summer sing and dance class, but I decided I didn't want to waste the money. I don't even know if she would have gone to the class! Oh my shy girl, but the story is told in my family how I was too shy to even ask the McDonald's guy for packets of ketchup! When I was a kid, I hated dance class, girl scouts and anything else that I didn't know anybody else. I wouldn't consider myself a shy person now. I wonder when she will grow out of it.

Bribed

When your own child bribes you with her own (easter) candy to do something (to put Henry's shoes on), it makes me wonder what kind of values I am teaching her. Yet, I just found out that she has been bribed to sing in church for Father's Day tomorrow (the last 2 opportunities for her to go on the stand she has refused.) I'll let you know if it happens.

Another Cleaner

As most of you know, my sweet Caroline is pretty good at cleaning up. Thinking of her starting her own load of laundry still makes me laugh.

Well, we have another child very similar to her! Sweet Henry is almost obsessed with the broom. The first time I really remember it was when I was ironing in the laundry room; Henry found some snacks in my purse and started to eat them. A few minutes later I heard him go in the pantry, get the broom behind the door, come out and sweep up the mess!

He also insisted on using the garage broom today- almost pulled the nail out of the wall that it was hanging to, just because he wanted it down so bad.

Henry also gets a towel to wipe up messes he has created on the floor. Of course cleans up the table with a napkin, or wipes his face. And one of his favorite things to do is to get out the vacuum and vacuum with me or when he sees the need.But what made me just love him even more, was when I came downstairs with the shoes I was going to wear today and I threw them next to the door of the laundry room and was about to head to the kitchen to make breakfast, when I noticed Henry go and pick up my shoes, walk the 2 steps into my laundry room and put them with the rest of the shoes. He sure told me! So sweet. Love him!
P.S. Made 64 dollars on Day 2 of the garage sale. And listed the big items on Craigs List that didn't sell and so far I have made 40 bucks! The rest went to good will.

That is what we made today from our garage sale!

It was a neighborhood garage sale, so the advertising was taken care of. Plus, my neighbor across the street was doing it too! That helped people come down the cul-de-sac!

This sweet kid was exhausted from it all. This is how he fell asleep after we cleaned up! He was so sad I closed the garage. In his other hand is the dog our neighbor gave to us for free from her sale (he wouldn't leave it without screaming.)

Out again tomorrow! Hopefully we continue to have a little luck!

My Job

I was given a job this week: I am to find a Refridgerator/freezer that I like. To match the other appliances in our soon to be home (if all continues to go well) it needs to be stainless. I want the biggest one there is, to fit everything! Wouldn't you? BUT! We realized we can't have the big one! Ours has to be counter depth. Which is smaller cubic feet in the fridge. If we get a bigger one then it will stick out too far in the walkway to the dining room. Bummer huh? And did you know that counter depth ones are even more expensive? Smaller and more expensive? Lame.
As hip as the freezer drawer on the bottom is these days, I prefer the look of the side by side fridge/freezer. I was pretty set on it, until Aaron made a VERY valid point. In a side by side you can't place a platter in it. It won't fit. That goes for a 9 x 13 pan too! Hmm, this makes it tricky! I can't keep looking online- it's just not the same as actually opening and closing the doors in the store.

Have you ever known someone that you just look at and wonder 'how do you do it?' The people that just amaze you, because they seem to accomplish so much and more! Do they have more hours in the day than I do? Then above all. They are truly a wonderful person. Friendly, wise and thoughtful. Then I wonder... what do I really do with my life?

Motivating, yet depressing all at the same time.

I am excited for a new chapter in my life.

When I was 17 I was given advice by a stranger sitting diagonally, back from me on an airplane. I don't even remember what he looked like, but I will never forget what he said to me: You can choose to be anyone you want to be. Now, I have heard these words before, but it seems to have stuck with me. I didn't use his advice that next year when I went to a different high school for my senior year. But I remember repeating it in my head as I made the long drive from home to my college apartments. Oh, how I loved that first year!

I am excited for a new chapter in my life.

I hope to be the person that I want to be....

If all continues to go well, we plan on moving at the end of the month! Until then, my life is engulfed with boxes and the swimming pool!

Pizza Recipe

A good find is always worth sharing!

My friend, Michelle gave me this pizza crust recipe and it is super tasty and easy that I had to share it! She said it has been passed down in her family, so I knew it would be good.

Pizza Crust
Makes enough for 2 jelly roll pans (13 x20)

2 Cups Milk
6 Tbsp Oil
1 tsp salt
2/3 C sugar
2 T yeast
About 5 Cups of Flour

Mix the milk, oil, salt and sugar in a microwavable bowl. Heat for 2 minutes in the microwave. Add the yeast and mix. Add the flour and knead it in until well mixed, if really sticky add some more flour, but it should be a little sticky. Let rise for 1 hour. Cut in half and roll out in 2 jelly roll pans. Cook in oven at 350 degrees for about 20- 25 minutes!

To mix up the usual pepperoni pizza night:

We love BBQ chicken pizza
(BBQ sauce-mozerella cheese-shredded chicken with BBQ sauce- pineapple-green peppers-red onion- topped with a little more cheese)

And we love Taco Pizza
(1 can of smashed black beans or refried beans- 1lb ground turkey or hamburger meat flavored taco seasoning- mexican blend of shredded cheese- then cook- out of oven add shredded lettuce- tomatoes- olives- avacado- corn-flavored salad topper chips- ranch dressing)

P.S. My Mother-in-Law gave me my favorite pizza sauce recipe:

Brick Oven Pizza Sauce
Makes enough for several large pizzas (I make it once and put several portions in individual ziplock bags and freeze them)

Mix the following:
3 6 oz. cans tomato paste
3 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion salt
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. salt

Yesterday, on our way to church a light we have to go thru wasn't green so we turned right and went the other way instead. This is what came next:

Caroline: This isn't the way, Daddy.
Dad: Yes it is.
Caroline: No, it's not, Daddy. (In the whinning voice.)

A minute of silence as we continue on our way.

Then we make another turn.

Caroline: Dad, are you sure?
Dad: Yes, Caroline, I'm sure this is the right way. What do I have a back seat driver?

Caroline laughs and laughs. Then we all laughed.

We ended up doing just that. And we even had tri-color pasta tonight. She squealed in delight.

When I tried on my wedding dress, I knew that it was perfect. My face lit up. I could feel my smile muscles working. I got butterflies thinking about the 'big' day. I had walked through a dozen of wedding dress shops. Probably tried on a hundred dresses. And I finally found it! The dress had no sleeves and was 3 times too big. I knew it had to go through same major alterations, yet at the same time I knew it had potential and therefore was perfect.

We have been looking for homes to live in for months now. We have been walking into homes for weeks. I just keep waiting for my 'perfect' home. The home that I know I could raise a family in for years and be happy. The home that I walk into and feel like it is home. The home that I see potential in.

I haven't found it yet. I'm beginning to lose hope.

General Conference

As General Conference is this weekend, I wanted to find some activities for Caroline that she could get involved. I looked all over online and it was kind of tricky to find something for my 3- year old. She can't write and color by numbers quite yet, but I was able to find something great for her as well as older kids!

Henry's 1st Birthday

Henry is One! I can't believe it! This time last year (3 weeks after he was born), I was in the hospital, again, with him. He was being treated for RSV and was on oxygen. We knew he would pull through.

A lot has happened since then. Henry is truly changed our family dynamics and it will never be as it once was with just Caroline. He has brought true joy and happiness into our home. Henry is SO sweet. He is darling and lovable. He is sensitive, soft and just yummy. He warms my heart with his wide mouth kisses, he makes me laugh when he gives me the cheesiest smile, and he makes me melt when he puts his head on his shoulder to say "I missed you, Mom." I am addicted to him.

Henry picks up the phone and blabs into it. He will pick up the remote crawl so he is front of the TV, aims and presses all the buttons and then waits for a reaction. He walks along furniture. He crawls up and down stairs. He eats everything. He climbs on whatever he cans and into whatever it might be. He puts his hand over his eyes and brow to show you that his feelings are hurt. He roars at us. He laughs hysterically with Caroline. He takes great naps. Makes car sounds while moving the car on the ground. He loves baths. And will just sit on my lap comfortably. I love him.

Portland

We enjoyed our time in Hawaii. I remembered how much my husband loves the beach and how we need to plan more vacations around the water. He seems to be truly happy there. We looked forward to Hawaii for so long and we are excited for the next big family trip in October/November.

From Hawaii, we made it to Portland and stayed with my brother Michael and his wife Jenny and their 2 sweet kids Avery and Logan. Aaron went back home to step right into busy season. It was so nice to see rain and be with family. I loved playing games. Eating yummy food (discovered potato rolls). And I enjoyed busting Jenny's new sewing machine out with her.

We went to the children's museum and the kids had a ball! It was huge and had a lot to do there! I wish I took a picture of the dump truck corner.

Hawaii on Fast Mode

As you know, January was busy. Seriously, aren't all our lives? February is and will be just as busy. So to finish off Hawaii time; here we go!

We drove a ways to reach a waterfall. We made the hike, or walk, (with 8 kids) to the bottom of a waterfall we couldn't quite see, in our swimsuits, just in case we could swim in it. I know you can't see it, but here is our Family picture!

My brother decided he had to get married in Maui on 1-11-2011 (A Tuesday!) So as we huffed and puffed (just a little) to get out there... we had an enjoyable time (Yes. We brought the kids.)

Aaron had to work the first day we were there. It was the start of his busy season when we left. Yes. He is still busy. Works 6-7 days and most of the nights a week.

I looked down at my ring today and noticed something yucky in it. So I picked at it. A little peice came out. The peice that came out looked like a long skinny leg. I looked closer at my ring... and sure enough a gross spider was smashed in it! What did I do to get spider smashed in my ring? I don't know, but that is nasty! I am still grossed out by it!

It took me 2 1/2 weeks to get the motivation to finish the name and stitch it altogether (that part was tough). Everything else went pretty quickly. I finished it in less than 2 months. I even changed his stocking after the first week of working on it. This one fits him more. I am very excited how things turned out. I love his stocking.

Mine, will be finished for next year. Until then, I have a small one for Cash Only. :)

Yesterday, we finished cleaning the church and Caroline's friend Logan and his family decided to go to McDonald's for lunch. Well of course Caroline wanted to go too. Caroline asked her Dad and he said sure. I had to nurse Henry before we could go. So Caroline had to wait in the car with us. Every few seconds she had to ask if we could go... "Mom, is he done yet?" "Can we go now?" "Please Mom can we go right now, I need to go.. my sacred duty." I guess the song "I Love to See the Temple" is getting ingrained in her!

Crocs Crazy

I found out last week that Crocs started in Colorado. I have to say that it may look like it, but I'm not a huge fan of Crocs for myself, but for my kids... I love them. I can take them to the pool, in the pool, splash parks, playgrounds... anywhere and everywhere... they put them on and off themselves and when the day is done: they take a bath with the kids too. Well, every year Crocs has a warehouse sale (oh, only an hour away.) Probably the not so popular, or discontinued Crocs go there and get sold. I planned on standing in line and going as soon as they were opened and then yesterday I found out that Aaron had a friend of a friend who is an employee. Employees and their friends go in early before the crowds and (1/2 way through I found out that they get half off...)

So.. anyone and everyone who wanted them seemed to get some. I bought 26 pairs in all!

This boy will be 10 months this week. He started crawling last week and this week he has found every outlet and cord and electronic item - dangerous thing that I didn't know exsisted! He also leaves the room that I am in: to explore (Caroline hardly leaves the room.) He dances. He smiles. He gets frustrated with Caroline. He eats grown-up food. I have seen him sign more. He has 7 teeth. He sleeps pretty well at night. He's sensitive. And he is so yummy that I could gobble him up with kisses all day long.

Scissors

When I was a kid, I could only find one pair of scissors in the house. It was located in my Dad's nightstand, second drawer down (cinnamon bears: third drawer down.) As a kid, you always seem to have a need for something that belongs to your parents and is easy to find. I often used these scissors for crafts and other projects, and I often forgot to return them, another problem kids have. I really tried to return them exactly how I found them so my Dad didn't notice. But when I forot to return them, and when my Dad yelled, "Where are my scissors?" I remember gasping and running to return them. I hated how we only had one pair of scissors in the house.. that I could find.

Today, (In order of the picture) I have a pair of pink scissors in Caroline's room. A blue pair of scissors in Henry's room. A pair in my top drawer in my bedroom (that makes a pair in every room upstairs.) There are 2 located in the den. One in the kitchen, of course. Two in my desk in the kitchen. One in the garage (especially used for otter pops in the summertime.) Three in my sewing area (paper, fabric, thread.) And one in the storage closet for cutting my wrapping paper. I also carry one around with me and my stocking everywhere I go. That makes 14 scissors that I own. And really I would love one in the laundry room. I decided this all sounds a little silly, crazy even wacky that I need to just gather them all to take a picture. I plan on moving one of the two that I have in my kitchen desk in the laundry room right after I post this. I now have no fear of "Where are my scissors?" (I also have several working pens everywhere in the house too, that was a similar issue growing up.)

I decided to take pictures at a different place, as I was not happy with my last 2 visits at my usual place. So we went to Picture Innovations and we had a fabulous experience. They took as many pictures as we wanted. We got a TON of pictures for 10 bucks and got the pictures in 30 minutes! Loved it! And we will go back!

The fabulous ghost (I can say that because you didn't see it) and the rest of our finished pumpkins? No picture this year. I forgot! Lame huh?

I cooked pumpkin seeds for the first time this year. I did my research and figured out the best way to do it and I tried three different seasonings. One burned. The other 2 batches did fine. I just found out that I don't like them. I'll probably never do it again.

Halloween was fun and festive ALL week long! Caroline dressed up as Cinderella 3 times! She got to go to a Halloween party for just her and friends her age! She did some trick-or-treating at the Library and the Ward's Trunk or Treat and she went to a progressive dinner on Halloween night and hit a pinata for the first time! I think she had a blast!

Mission 2 accomplished. 2 Down. 2 to go! I finished Aaron's stocking today. I'm so proud. :) I love it too. (If you recall, I started it in March.) But every spare minute, second, car ride, movie, show, wake-up in the middle of the night went to my stocking. Hello world! I'm back.. until this weekend. That is when I will begin Henry's stocking and attempt to finish it before Christmas.

Well, when we make a trip we try to do as much as we can. From SF, to Visalia, to Los Angeles to visit my Grandparents to SD!

We had fun with Papa Moses at the beach. We ate donuts, built houses and filled a never ending hole of water.

This girl chose her necklace and bracelets and then was ready to go! We are doing an at home pre-school with this great website my fantistic friend Jessica found. Everything right there for you... free! Caroline talks about pre-school all of the time. On her first day, she said to me "I'm going to have a good time Mom." She also informed me that she didn't need sunscreen and she asked me what I was going to do while she was gone. I think she had a great time. She is getting so big!

Crazy Story for the Day

Yesterday morning I nursed Henry back to sleep on our bed. Afterward I noticed his Pajama pants were a little wet from peeing. It was early so I didn't want to wake him up, and I put a blanket underneath him and went about my morning. Later I checked on him to see if he was awake and he was oohing and ahhing over his toes. Well I picked him and he had pooed out of his diaper onto my sheets that I had just washed the day before. I picked him up and took him to the diaper changing pad and cleaned him up with wipes. As I was about to put a new diaper on- he pees. I gasp. He stops, yet before it has sprayed everywhere. I take his Jammie top off. Wrap it around him and go directly to the bath with a new diaper in hand. I turn on the bath and wonder why my leg suddenly got warm. Yes, he had peed again. At that moment I screamed and laughed and tried to believe really just happened. I did a whole load of laundry just in his mishaps. But do you see his face? He really is so darling.... even if he again peed on me last night as I was changing his diaper before bedtime. I think that was an ultimate record for me.

For the past 7 years (next week), we would have shared one car between the two of us. Last week we did an unsual trade and got a second car. I have dominated the ownership of the car for most of the years, and my sweet husband has sacrificed his clean suits, clean shorts, and time to ride the bus. For the past year we have done some pretty good trading off. With 2 kids now and doctor appointments, and Library times, runs to the grocery store and Aaron having to go to work with the ability of staying late... it got a little complicated.

I haven't gone out everyday of the week, but the feeling of 'I can' is refreshing.

Firsts

Caroline went bowling with a friend for the first time last Friday. She was hungry part way through and insisted she had to finish her sandwich before she could play again. She loved it. She keeps saying "I'm going bowling with Daddy last night!" Meaning, she wants to go with him someday.

Henry's first time in a restaurant high chair. He almost lasted the whole time! :)

Henry's first tooth poked through the gums this morning. I'm kind of sad. I love his gumless smile.

Caroline woke up this morning saying she was cold. I was grateful for the overcast morning yesterday and today. I needed the cool down.

Red Light, Green Light

I try to talk aloud when I am in the car for Caroline and Henry's sake. I often say Red means to STOP and Green means GO! Randomly the other morning when I was getting ready, I heard her say "Green means go... Red means stop!" It just made me all warm inside. She does actually listen and digest what I say and teach. Yay!

Well, that warm feeling quickly died when 1/2 an hour later she was playing with a baby toy in Henry's room and yes, you guessed it. You pressed a button and heard an energetic lady say "Green means go, yellow means slow down, and red means stop."

Sigh... oh well, at least I buy GREAT toys, I guess!

MIA? We have! We spent the Fourth in Utah and then a week in Idaho Falls.

Aaron's Mom's side of the family had a reunion. Fishing for prizes, food, pony rides (negative for Caroline), petting zoo, swimming, food, fresh baked cookies, slide show down memory lane, horseshoes, so you think you can splash contest, and did I mention food and dessert? We had a fantastic time.

And so did Uncle Alan.

This is a video of Caroline at the Rexburg, ID Carousel. There was a Splash Park next door that Caroline did not join in the fun. It was a big kid splash park.

All day today and yesterday, as I have had laundry piled high, suitcases open, junk everywhere... Caroline asks in the sweetest voice... "Do you want to play with me?" My heart melts. And not everytime... but the times where I have thought to myself. Do I really have anything better to do than to play with my daughter? I've sat and played. I love her so.

Updated picture of Henry. He is 6 months next week. My has time flown. He had his second haircut. He can sit up. He loves water... oh goodness. Time for baby food.

I have never had a chance to take a picture, but these two! Caroline would sleep like this every nap time and night time if she could... Aaron can't get enough. :) When Caroline used to climb in our bed in the middle of the night (for a whole year) I would wake up and see them like this.

Yay! She did it! Caroline goes potty "alls the times" just like Papa. :) So now my diaper cost is cut in half! She tells me every time she needs to go. We have gone on two 8 hour drives... and yes she stays dry! She has also had the flu and she stays dry! She has never had an accident when we are on the go running errands. She has woken up at 3 am and has come in and told us she needs to go. She sometimes goes by herself.. which I have issues because she hasn't mastered the wiping, but she is amazing. I look at her and wonder where my little girl has gone.

What did it? I got cloth diapers, made cloth wipes, and made my spray solution to spray on her bum. And just as I hoped.. she hated it. She despised being sprayed. We went to panties aka: underwear and every time she had an accident I put her back in a diaper (cloth or disposable) for about a half an hour and she then proved to me she could use the potty and it was back into underwear! We have an occasional accident, but no more cash out in the trash. Hooray! I have put Henry in cloth diapers, and to my surprise. I like them. I see your disgusted look through the computer screen and it's okay, I was there too. I don't use them all the time. Just at home and when they are convenient for me. But for now.. one kid in diapers and one kid potty trained!

Caroline took her second trip to Disneyland on Memorial Day weekend. We went on a Friday and it wasn't too crowded. This is excited Caroline on the tram with Grandmama. I know she didn't quite understand what she was getting into. I think she enjoyed it while she was there and still talks about it, but maybe the magic will come later. We had a great time. She love "it's a small world" and wanted to go on it a third time, but we vetoed that one.

We did a fabulous thing at the Bippidi bobbidi Boutique. Caroline's Fairy Godmother took her shopping, did her hair and dressed her up as a princess.

That's right. With Caroline not potty trained yet, we spend about 80 dollars on diapers in 1 month. Motivation to potty train Caroline? Yes! I plan on it ASAP! Another motivation for... cloth diapers. Now when I used to think of cloth diapers I thought of a rag, safety pins, messy, gross, never, never, never! Until my superwoman friend Jessica started thinking about it. My thoughts again were... right, you let me know how that goes. Until she acually started doing it! Cloth diapers are soft, cloth, and actually fit like a disposable diaper with snaps or velcro (instead of the ouch safety pins). I still have concerns, but truly I think I'm ready to not spend that amount of cash anymore. Aaron isn't a fan, but who really wants to clean poopy diapers or underwear?? Caroline and her favorite friend, Cameron, went to the zoo today. They ran, jumped, ate, laughed, climbed, fell, rode in the stroller, looked, searched, sat, got dirty, balanced, danced and held hands together. Caroline had so much fun with him. I think she liked the animals, too. :)

Caroline is wonderful and helps me with the laundry days. She helps me take the clothes to the laundry room, sorts them, throws them in the washer and even pushes the buttons to make the wash start. It helps me get through the day when she can do it with me! Today she was playing outside with Aaron before conference. He was power washing the garage to make it squeaky clean. Well of course Caroline got dirty and wet. So my sweet little girl decides to put her dirty pants in the washer and start it... without anyone else knowing! I heard the buzzer go off and I asked Aaron if he started the wash, and he didn't. I went and checked it out.. and it was her pants! Washed with no soap. I love her!

Caroline had her first haircut Saturday! I was the Barber. I cut only an inch off. You can't tell... but it is straight now. I couldn't cut her baby hair off until I had another baby I guess. No pictures.. but I kept her hair for her baby book!

Caroline took a bath last night and played with the foam letters as usual. But I noticed something different this time. She put one letter in the middle of each square tile on the shower wall. She took them all down before I could get my camera. A little scary though, don't you think?

I am playing a little catch-up today, but I had to post these beautiful pictures. He really does have gorgeous hair! (Thanks Logan for the adorable outfit!)

I am trying to figure out priorities in life. That or I am still trying to play catch-up. I did bake cookies with Caroline yesterday. Yummy oatmeal raisin. I have a few things on my to-do list that I can't quite get to. I busted out another Christmas stocking to make. My goal is 4 months to finish it. I will let you know how it goes. I also busted out the WII fit... I won't let you know how that one goes, but it is fun! It is raining today. I love the cold sweatshirt days, but I am looking forward to summer. Both kids are sleeping- and I get so mentally exhausted at this point trying to figure out what the best thing for me to do first. Blogging was today, while my dishes are in the sink from baking cookies yesterday and my ironing pile is high. Calling Laura and my grandparents are on my mind- hopefully that will come during another nap time this week. The swing is my best friend and Henry's as well. What do people do without it? I don't think I have much more me time. I'll tackle the dishes... PS How are your March Madness brackets? I have 400 points. Beating Aaron.. again. he he

It was a beautiful blessing. Thank you Aaron for being wonderfu and worthy! Crazy busy day. Did not get pictures of our wonderful family that lives here (sorry!). Did not take pictures of the yummy food (thanks Mom and Jenny!) And we were asleep by 8 o'clock that night!

This is my last 'updating picture'. I just had to share. Then I will go get ready for the day.

I was baking chicken for some freezer meals before I had Henry and 25min. into baking my 9 x 13 pan that I have had for 6-7 years shattered in the oven! I was shocked. Sweet Aaron cleaned it up for me. I couldn't bend over anymore at that point. Crazy though, huh?

We have had 2 niece's born since Henry has been born. Ella Jane and London Elizabeth. I made both of them (before Henry was born) these cute shoes that my friend Jessica taught me how to make. They are a lot cuter than boy shoes.
